Who can take part
- You are 18 years or older and have active cancer (diagnosed/treated in the last 6 months or currently worsening/returning).
- You had a confirmed deep blood clot (like DVT or pulmonary embolism) within the last 14 days, and your doctors plan to treat it with full-dose blood thinners.
- Your platelet count is under 50,000 while you’re having cancer or cancer treatment (or due to it).
- You can sign consent paperwork to join the study.
- You have not already been on blood thinners for this same clot while your platelets were under 50,000 for more than 72 hours.
