  • You are 18 years or older
  • You have been on hemodialysis for at least 3 months
  • You have not taken probiotic supplements in the past month
  • You have not been hospitalized in the past month for an infection or kidney disease complication
  • You have not had major intestinal surgery (except appendix removal)
  • You have not used antibiotics or immune-suppressing medications in the past 3 months
