Who can take part

  • Be 20 years or older at screening
  • Have chronic kidney disease with eGFR between 15 and 45 and urine albumin-creatinine ratio (UACR) above 100
  • Have had relatively stable kidney function, with creatinine not rising more than 0.3 mg/dL for at least 30 days
  • Have enough nutrition and blood health (albumin at least 2.0 g/dL and hemoglobin at least 8 g/dL), and no active GI bleeding
  • Not be on antibiotics or probiotics in the last 2 weeks (and be willing to avoid them during the study)
