Acute effects of 5-MeO-DMT in healthy people

5-methoxy-dimethyltryptamine (5-MeO-DMT)

This study tests a single dose of a fast-acting psychedelic called 5-MeO-DMT given through a vein. It is only for healthy volunteers who have no medical or mental health conditions and limited previous experience with hallucinogens.

  • Have no current or past major medical or psychiatric conditions
  • No hallucinogenic drug use (more than 20 times ever, or any in the last 2 months)
  • Not be pregnant, breastfeeding, or planning to become pregnant (and use effective birth control)
