Who can take part

  • You have thumb base arthritis (trapeziometacarpal osteoarthritis) confirmed by an x-ray and a doctor.
  • You are between 25 and 75 years old.
  • You have had thumb pain for at least 6 months.
  • Your thumb pain is at least 4 out of 10 in intensity during daily activities.
  • You can move your thumb away from your hand (abduction) at least 40 degrees.
  • You are able to understand and follow study instructions.
