Who can take part

  • You must have been diagnosed by a doctor with thumb base osteoarthritis (arthritis at the base of the thumb).
  • You cannot have numbness, tingling, or other unusual sensations in your arms or hands.
  • You should not have a pacemaker or any nerve-related conditions like carpal tunnel syndrome.
  • You must not have certain health conditions like diabetes, thyroid problems, liver or kidney disease, or a history of cancer or rheumatoid arthritis.
  • You cannot have had any recent injury or surgery on your arm, hand, or neck.
