TAVI heart valve replacement without on-site surgery

  • Severe narrowing of the aortic valve confirmed by heart ultrasound (echo)
  • Symptoms such as shortness of breath or chest discomfort during normal activities
  • Age 70 years or older
  • Suitable leg blood vessels (femoral access) for the catheter to reach your heart
  • No previous aortic valve replacement surgery
  • No serious health conditions that would make the procedure too risky
