Who can take part
- You are between 18 and 65 years old.
- You are willing to provide consent to participate.
- For the Hashimoto group: You have been diagnosed with Hashimoto's thyroiditis based on positive antibodies (anti-TPO or anti-TG) and/or compatible ultrasound findings.
- For the control group: You have no history of thyroid or autoimmune disease and normal thyroid function tests.
- You are not pregnant or breastfeeding.
- You do not have chronic kidney disease (eGFR below 60), active infection, malignancy, or other autoimmune diseases like rheumatoid arthritis or lupus.
- You have not used steroids or immune-suppressing drugs in the past 3 months, and do not have parathyroid disease or take medications that affect mineral metabolism.
