Who can take part

  • Your child is 24 months old or younger.
  • Your child is having a major surgery that requires a small tube in the wrist artery to check blood pressure.
  • You agree to the study and will sign a consent form.
  • Your child's health status is classified as ASA I to IV (generally stable to moderately ill).
  • Your child has not had a wrist artery needle stick in the last month.
  • Your child does not have any wrist artery problems, heart defects, or severe shock.
