New PET/MRI scan for hard-to-find pituitary tumors

Who can take part

  • You are between 18 and 75 years old.
  • You have a confirmed diagnosis of Cushing's disease, acromegaly, or a prolactinoma that raises prolactin levels.
  • You have had a specialized MRI that didn't find a clear tumor, or the results were unclear.
  • You are willing to have surgery if a tumor is found (or you're already scheduled for surgery).
  • You can lie still for about 30 to 60 minutes for the scan.
  • If you could become pregnant, you must have a negative pregnancy test before the study scan.
