Who can take part

  • You are an adult (18 or older) or a child between 1 and 17 years old.
  • You are scheduled for a procedure that uses general anesthesia or sedation.
  • If you are a child, your parents or guardians have agreed to the trial and understand what's involved.
  • If you are an adult, you have had your pre-anesthesia checkup and do not have a known cognitive impairment (like memory or thinking problems).
  • You are not pregnant or breastfeeding (for women of childbearing age).
  • You have not refused to take part (if you are an adult) or if you are a child old enough to understand, you have not said 'no' either.
