Who can take part

  • You are 18 years or older
  • Your blood pressure in the ER was very high (top number over 180 or bottom number over 110) and stayed high after 30 minutes
  • You do not have signs of organ damage like stroke, heart attack, kidney injury, or eye swelling
  • You may be admitted to the hospital just for blood pressure treatment or be stable enough to go home
  • You can receive phone calls and in-person visits (you don't need a smartphone)
