Who can take part

  • You are female and have been diagnosed with classic galactosemia (confirmed by genetic testing).
  • You were born between January 1, 1980 and December 31, 2024.
  • You are being seen at a participating center for inherited metabolic diseases or pediatric endocrinology.
  • You do not have other known chromosome conditions (like Turner syndrome or Fragile X syndrome) that could delay puberty.
  • You do not have early menopause from another cause (besides galactosemia).
