  • 18 years or older
  • Body mass index (BMI) of 25 or higher
  • You own a smartphone
  • You are not currently active (exercise a few times a month or less)
  • You are willing to use the BetterMe app and a fitness tracker for the whole study
  • You are not pregnant, planning pregnancy, or breastfeeding, and not more than 6 months after childbirth
