Who can take part
- You are 18 years or older
- You are having surgery on one or both breasts that is likely to cause moderate pain (score of 4+ on a 0–10 pain scale)
- You are scheduled to get a single injection of a nerve block during surgery
- You do not take opioids or tramadol daily (if you have, it must have been for less than 2 weeks and not for more than 4 weeks total)
- You do not have a history of opioid misuse or dependence
- You are not currently pregnant, and if you could become pregnant, you are willing to avoid sexual activity or use extra nonhormonal birth control for a month after surgery
