Who can take part

  • You are 18 years or older
  • You are having elective transvaginal pelvic reconstructive surgery at UCLA as a same-day discharge or 23-hour stay
  • You do not take opioids regularly for chronic pain
  • You do not have liver failure or severe kidney disease (ESRD)
  • You do not have chronic pain conditions like fibromyalgia, interstitial cystitis, or chronic pelvic pain
  • You can safely take acetaminophen and ibuprofen
