Who can take part

  • You are between 18 and 65 years old.
  • You have had a safe, non-infected eardrum hole for at least 6 months.
  • The hole is medium to large (25% or more of the eardrum).
  • Your ear has been dry (no drainage) for at least 3 months, with a negative culture.
  • Your middle ear bones and lining are healthy (checked by doctor).
  • You have healthy cartilage in your tragus (the small bump in front of your ear canal).
  • You can give written consent and are willing to follow the study plan.
