Who can take part
- You are between 8 and 13 years old
- You have normal eye health except for nearsightedness
- Your nearsightedness is -1.0 diopter or worse in both eyes (measured after drops that relax your eyes)
- You have not had any serious eye problems or surgeries in the past
- You can read letters on an eye chart (20/25 vision or better)
- You avoid caffeinated drinks (like soda, coffee, or tea) for 12 hours before the study visit
