Who can take part
- You are 18 years old or older.
- You had a serious injury to your upper or lower limb (arm or leg) that required surgery or being unable to move it for at least 3 days.
- You can join the study within 72 hours of being admitted to the hospital.
- You did not have ongoing long-term pain before the injury that was unrelated to the trauma.
- You were not taking blood-thinning medicines for a blood clot before your injury.
