Who can take part

  • Be between 18 and 55 years old
  • Have been diagnosed with generalized anxiety disorder and are not taking medicine for it
  • Be right-handed
  • Have a body mass index (BMI) between 18 and 30
  • Be willing to use birth control and not donate sperm or eggs during and for 3 months after the study
  • Have no other major mental health conditions like depression, bipolar disorder, or substance abuse
