Who can take part

  • You must be 18 years or older.
  • You had a spontaneous brain bleed (not caused by injury, tumor, infection, or medical procedure).
  • The bleed was in the fluid spaces around the brain, seen on a CT scan or confirmed with a spinal fluid test.
  • The cause of the bleed is one of these: a brain aneurysm, a blood vessel malformation, a specific pattern called perimesencephalic, a bleed with no aneurysm found, or a tear in a brain artery.
