Who can take part
- You are between 18 and 65 years old.
- You are scheduled for a Roux-en-Y gastric bypass, a type of weight-loss surgery, that is planned to let you go home the same day.
- Your health status is classified as ASA I or II, meaning you are generally healthy or have only mild illness.
- You are fluent in Dutch and can understand the study instructions.
- You own a smartphone or have a caregiver who can assist you with the monitoring app.
- You have an informal caregiver, such as a family member or friend, who can stay with you for the rest of the day of surgery and throughout the next day.
- You are not taking blood thinners and have not had major abdominal surgery before.
