Who can take part
- You are 18 to 65 years old.
- You have been newly diagnosed with acute myeloid leukemia (AML) and are healthy enough for strong chemotherapy.
- You are able to do daily activities without major help (ECOG score 0-2).
- Your liver and kidney function tests are within acceptable ranges.
- You have not had certain types of AML (like promyelocytic leukemia) or leukemia that has spread to your brain or spinal fluid.
- You have not received previous treatment for AML (except to control high white blood cell counts) or certain other drugs.
