Who can take part
- You are age 18 to 75.
- You have a type of acute myeloid leukemia (AML) linked to past cancer treatment, a prior bone marrow disorder, or you are 60 or older — OR you have high-risk MDS (MDS-IB2).
- You have not taken the study drugs (mitoxantrone, venetoclax, or azacitidine) before.
- Your heart, liver, and kidney functions are mostly normal, and you do not have serious heart problems.
- You are generally well enough to get around and have a life expectancy of at least 3 months.
