Who can take part

  • You are 18 years old or older.
  • You have a spot in the middle of your chest (mediastinum) that is at least 1 cm wide, seen on a CT scan.
  • You have not had a biopsy of that spot before and need one to find out what it is or to stage your lung cancer.
  • You either have suspected or confirmed lung cancer, or your lung cancer has come back.
  • You have had all the needed tests (like heart ultrasound or blood work) to make sure it's safe for you to have a biopsy.
  • You are able to understand and sign a consent form.
