Who can take part

  • You are scheduled for a gastroscopy (stomach exam) and colonoscopy (colon exam) under anesthesia.
  • You can wear a small device to sample your breath.
  • Your blood oxygen level is 95% or higher when breathing room air.
  • You have no known problems with your central nervous system (brain or spinal cord).
  • You agree to take part in the study.
  • Your bowel preparation is adequate (no poor prep).
