Who can take part
- You are at least 18 years old
- Your BMI (body weight relative to height) is between 18 and 30
- You had abdominal surgery under general anesthesia (put to sleep for the operation)
- You have moderate to severe pain (score of 4 or higher on a pain scale) within 4 hours after surgery ends
- You are not pregnant, breastfeeding, or have a history of drug or alcohol abuse in the past year
- You have not taken strong pain medications (opioids) regularly for more than 10 days in the past 3 months
