Who can take part

  • You must have moderate or severe lupus symptoms, as determined by your doctor.
  • You need to have had at least one standard lupus treatment that didn't work or caused side effects.
  • Your blood tests must show certain antibodies (like ANA) and meet minimum blood cell counts.
  • If you have lupus nephritis (kidney involvement), you need a recent kidney biopsy showing active disease.
  • You must not have had certain lupus medications (like rituximab) in the last 6 months.
  • You cannot be pregnant or breastfeeding and must use birth control if you can become pregnant.
