Who can take part
- You are between 18 and 60 years old.
- Your body mass index (BMI) is 30 or higher.
- You are scheduled for elective (planned) surgery that requires general anesthesia and a breathing tube.
- Your physical health is classified as ASA II or III (moderate to serious, but stable, condition).
- You do not have neuromuscular disease or facial abnormalities.
- You have not been previously diagnosed with sleep apnea (OSA) by a sleep study.
