  • You are scheduled for weight-loss (bariatric) surgery under general anesthesia.
  • Your body mass index (BMI) is 35 or higher.
  • You do not have a known airway problem (like a tumor or past radiation).
  • You have not had surgery on your face, jaw, neck, or spine.
