Who can take part
- You are older than 60 and have at least one heart risk factor, or older than 50 with two or more risk factors.
- Risk factors include high blood pressure, diabetes, kidney disease, past cancer treatment that affected the heart, irregular heartbeat, heart disease, heart valve surgery, obesity, use of a water pill (like furosemide), sleep apnea, or fatty liver disease.
- You do not have cancer within the last year, are not on dialysis, do not need oxygen for COPD, do not live in a nursing home, are under 90, and do not have dementia, a specific heart muscle disease, prior organ transplant, or amyloidosis.
