Who can take part

  • You are 18 years or older and having heart surgery
  • Your heart is in normal rhythm (sinus rhythm)
  • You do not have severe leaky heart valves
  • Your surgery uses GE ultrasound machines (Vivid S60, S70, E95) and specific software (EchoPAC or TOMTEC)
  • You do not have a mechanical heart pump like LVAD, Impella, or ECMO
  • Your ultrasound images are clear enough to analyze
