Who can take part
- You have a soft tissue sarcoma in an arm, leg, or trunk that is at least 2 inches (5 cm) in size
- Your tumor is considered operable or borderline operable by your cancer care team
- You are 18 years or older
- You are in reasonably good health (able to care for yourself and up and about more than 50% of waking hours)
- Your blood cell counts, liver and kidney function are within acceptable ranges
- If you could become pregnant, you must have a negative pregnancy test and agree to use effective birth control during and for 3 months after treatment
