Who can take part

  • Be between 18 and 75 years old.
  • Have type 2 diabetes that is not well controlled (HbA1c between 7.5% and 10.5%).
  • Take only certain diabetes pills (like metformin, SGLT2 inhibitors, or specific DPP-4 inhibitors) at a steady dose for at least 3 months.
  • Have a body mass index (BMI) of 32 or lower.
  • Not be using insulin or other certain diabetes medications like GLP-1 receptor agonists.
  • Do not have serious kidney, liver, or pancreas conditions, and no personal or family history of certain tumors (MEN1).
