Who can take part

  • You must be male and between 18 and 35 years old.
  • You must have a chronic (long-term) infection at the tip of a front tooth, canine, or single-root premolar.
  • You must have had root canal treatment at least 4 years ago on that tooth.
  • The infection spot (lesion) at the root tip must be smaller than 1 cm.
  • You cannot have diabetes, blood disorders, or need antibiotics before dental work.
  • You must not have taken antibiotics or anti-inflammatory drugs in the last month.
