Who can take part

  • You are between 18 and 64 years old.
  • You do not have any known medical conditions like diabetes, heart disease, etc.
  • You need root canal treatment for a crown or bridge, OR you have a wisdom tooth being pulled for orthodontic reasons, OR you have a specific type of severe toothache (called symptomatic irreversible pulpitis).
  • You have not taken antibiotics, anti-inflammatory drugs (like ibuprofen), or antidepressants in the last 4 weeks.
  • Your gums are healthy—no bleeding, deep pockets, or severe gum disease.
