A new drug combo for hard-to-treat AML

Acute Myeloid Leukemia (AML)

Who can take part

  • You must be newly diagnosed with acute myeloid leukemia (AML).
  • You should not have had any previous chemotherapy or similar drugs for AML.
  • You need to be 75 years or older, or between 18 and 74 with certain health problems (like heart or lung issues) that make standard chemo too risky.
  • Your kidney function must be at least moderate (creatinine clearance ≥ 30 mL/min), and your liver function must be within safe limits.
  • You cannot have certain other cancers or infections (like active tuberculosis) that would make participation unsafe.
