This study aims to find a blood test that can predict which patients will develop nerve pain or numbness (peripheral neuropathy) from certain chemotherapy drugs. You may be eligible if you are about to start treatment with paclitaxel, docetaxel, or oxaliplatin for at least 9 weeks.

Who can take part

  • You are 18 years or older.
  • You are about to receive chemotherapy with one of these drugs: paclitaxel, docetaxel, or oxaliplatin, for at least 9 weeks.
  • You do not already have nerve damage or chronic nerve pain.
  • You do not have diabetes (type 1 or 2 for more than 10 years).
  • You have not had other nerve-damaging cancer treatments before.
  • You are not receiving immunotherapy.
