Hybrid Closed-Loop for Diabetes After Kidney Transplant

Diabetes Mellitus Patients With Kidney Transplantation

Part of Hormones & metabolism, Kidney & urinary clinical trials.

This trial tests a hybrid closed-loop system (an advanced insulin pump that automatically adjusts insulin) for people with diabetes who have had a kidney transplant. It may help improve blood sugar control and reduce the burden of managing diabetes after transplant.

Islet transplant for type 1 diabetes after kidney transplant

This trial tests whether transplanting insulin-producing “islet” cells can better control blood sugar in people who have already received a kidney transplant. It’s mainly for adults with type 1 diabetes whose body is no longer making enough insulin, while they are on kidney-transplant medicines.
