Who can take part

  • You have severe aortic stenosis (a narrowed aortic valve) confirmed by your heart team
  • Your heart team agrees you're a good candidate for TAVI (catheter-based valve replacement)
  • You have at least one reason making surgery riskier (such as advanced age, frailty, lung disease, or heart problems)
  • Your groin blood vessels are suitable for the catheter procedure
  • You're able and willing to attend follow-up visits for at least 1 year
  • You do not have another serious illness expected to limit your life to less than 1 year
