3D-Printed Bite Splint for Broken Jaws in Children

Who can take part

  • Your child is between 6 and 12 years old and still has some baby teeth mixed with adult teeth
  • Your child has a recent jaw fracture (not an old injury)
  • The fracture is a single, simple break in the front or side of the lower jaw—not multiple breaks
  • Your child does not have a fractured jaw joint (condyle) or back part of the jaw (ramus)
  • Your child has no serious health conditions that slow bone healing (like diabetes or bone disease)
  • Your child can attend regular follow-up visits at the clinic over several weeks
