Who can take part
- You are 18 years or older
- You have been diagnosed with myelodysplastic syndromes that is lower-risk (very low, low, or intermediate risk)
- Your hemoglobin level is 10 or lower (showing you have anemia)
- You have received fewer than 2 blood transfusions in the last 8 weeks, or don't need regular transfusions
- Your kidney function is adequate (creatinine clearance at least 30 mL/min)
- You have not started or changed any anemia or MDS treatments in the last 8 weeks
