Who can take part

  • You have a single liver tumor measuring 2–5 cm (about the size of a grape to a walnut) that is hard to remove completely due to its location near major blood vessels or in a specific part of the liver
  • Your liver function is in the best category (Child-Pugh class A), meaning your liver is working well
  • You have never received chemotherapy, immunotherapy, or other cancer treatments before
  • Your blood counts and kidney/liver chemistry tests are in acceptable ranges within 2 weeks of starting treatment
  • You are age 18 or older and able to follow the study schedule and take study medications as directed
  • If you have hepatitis B or C, it is controlled or being treated appropriately
