Who can take part

  • Be 18 years old or older
  • Able to understand the study and give permission to participate
  • For the main group: have a narrowed heart artery (≥50% blockage) confirmed by ultrasound imaging
  • Never had a heart attack, unstable chest pain, or stroke
  • Not currently on dialysis or strong anti-inflammatory medications (except low-dose aspirin)
  • No active infections, cancer treatment in past 5 years, or chronic inflammatory diseases at the time you join
