Testing thinking and memory after carotid artery treatment

Who can take part

  • Be older than 18 years
  • Have carotid artery narrowing on ultrasound (50%+ if you had symptoms, or 70%+ if you had no symptoms)
  • Be able to have MRI scans (no major MRI safety issues)
  • Need carotid stenting only for long-term narrowing (not for other reasons)
  • Be able to give informed consent (or have the ability to understand and agree)
