Who can take part
- Your shoulder has not had any previous surgery
- You have a shoulder instability issue that typically requires surgery (like bone loss, failed prior repair, or contact sports participation)
- You do not have significant rotator cuff damage (the muscles and tendons that stabilize your shoulder)
- You do not have a SLAP lesion (a tear in the upper part of the shoulder labrum)
- You do not have advanced arthritis (wear-and-tear damage) in your shoulder joint
- Your shoulder does not already have severe loss of outward rotation before surgery
