  • You are 18 years or older
  • You are expected to need tube feeding for more than 7 days
  • You or your legal representative can sign a consent form
  • You have not had major stomach or intestinal surgery
  • Your abdomen is accessible for ultrasound examination (no large burns, dressings, or open wounds blocking it)
  • You do not have severe stomach or intestinal problems like blockage, perforation, or active bleeding
