Who can take part

  • You are at least 18 years old
  • You have a suspected lung nodule or tumor that is 3 cm (about 1.2 inches) or smaller
  • Your nodule is in a location that can be reached by bronchoscopy
  • You are either not able to have surgery, choose not to have surgery or radiation, and agree to heat-based treatment instead
  • You do not have severe bleeding problems or are not on blood thinners within the past week
  • You do not have advanced cancer spread throughout your body or other serious conditions that would prevent you from tolerating the procedure
