Ventilator Pressure Levels During Surfactant Therapy in Preterm Infants

Who can take part

  • Baby was born between 24 and 31 weeks and 6 days of pregnancy
  • Baby is currently on CPAP (a gentle breathing support that pushes air into the lungs)
  • Baby is planned to receive MIST as part of standard care at your hospital
  • Baby is less than 72 hours old and can receive MIST within 90 minutes of being assigned to the study
  • Baby is clinically stable and able to tolerate a special belt and gel placed on their chest for monitoring
  • Parent or guardian can provide informed consent
