This study tests whether GyroStim—a specialized rotating chair therapy—can help reduce dizziness, balance problems, and thinking difficulties that last more than 4 weeks after a head injury. GyroStim is designed to retrain how your brain and inner ear work together.

Who can take part

  • Had a closed head injury (not open/penetrating) with lasting symptoms for at least 4 weeks
  • Experience dizziness, imbalance, or inner-ear-related problems (vestibular dysfunction)
  • Have thinking or memory problems linked to the head injury
  • Are at least 18 years old and able to consent for yourself
  • Are not currently pregnant and not within 12 weeks of giving birth
  • Do not take prescription blood thinners like warfarin or heparin
